Voidpet begins as a series of creature drawings inspired by emotions, created by Linda during the pandemic. The concept quickly gains traction online, leading to an early Discord following of 1,000 fans excited for more.

To get the project off the ground, Ben and Linda team up to launch a password-locked signup page on voidpet.com. Over 2 million users attempt entry, and more than 300,000 successfully decipher the puzzle, unlocking early access to the project.

The first Voidpet game
This site soon becomes home to an early concept of a game. It's a minimalist web adventure where you can pick a Voidpet, check in on it, and explore a few screens in the Void. Over the course of a year, it grows to include trading, auctions, battles, and more.

Voidpet Garden, the first app
The first mobile app, Voidpet Garden, blends emotion tracking with a fantasy creature-collection game. The app attracts a dedicated user base for its distinctive design and mental health mechanics.

Awards and honors
Voidpet is featured in Forbes 30 Under 30, and wins Google's App of the Year for Personal Growth. In the same year, the company secures funding from Andreessen Horowitz.

Voidpet launches plushies and a major battle expansion in Voidpet Garden. What started as a duo grows into a creative team of 50+ collaborators, now building a full ecosystem around the Voidpet universe.
Hands of Greed
Linda writes Hands of Greed, a 400-page fantasy novel set in the Voidpet universe. The story adds new depth to the world’s lore and serves as a companion to the games.
